Special Lecture in Engineering Education

Professor Janet Blume, Associate Dean of the Faculty at Brown University, will give a presentation on Project-Based Engineering Education at Brown University. A reception will follow the lecture.

The School of Engineering at Brown University is
proud of its student-centered undergraduate curricula. In our programs, students are involved in calculation-based, creative design projects, starting in their first semester engineering course. At the same time, students develop strong theoretical foundations in different areas of engineering before they specialize in one of seven ABET accredited concentrations. Students are actively involved in research and design projects in their junior and senior years as well. The challenges and successes of running
our program are discussed.
