We also invite applications from researchers who have demonstrated strong connections between computational mathematics and applications in science and engineering. The instructorship is offered as a two-year position, and, depending on mutual interests, may be extended to the third year. Candidates are expected to contribute to teaching in the department, including working with a diverse student body, as well as pursue research. The teaching requirement consists of 2-3 quarters per year with the subject matter mutually agreed upon to provide a balance between departmental needs and research interests of the candidate.
