Thomas Hou Receives the 2024 William Benter Prize in Applied Mathematics

Thomas Y. Hou, Charles Lee Powell Professor of Applied and Computational Mathematics, has been selected as the 2024 winner of the William Benter Prize in Applied Mathematics. The William Benter Prize "recognizes outstanding mathematical contributions that have had a direct and fundamental impact on scientific, business, finance and engineering applications," and is awarded to a single person once every two years. As part of this honor, the prize recipient is invited to visit the City University of Hong Kong to accept the award in person and deliver a presentation of their work.
