Engineering Cytochrome P450 for modular bioremediation

The U.S. Geological Survey has recently and repeatedly warned that environmental contaminants in water supplies throughout the country are reaching concerning levels. Bioremediation enables up-cycling of toxic compounds into reusable and environmentally friendly materials by harnessing microbial enzymatic processes. This exploratory project tests an innovative approach for design and validation of a secretable cytochrome P450 bioremediation approach for removal of bisphenol compounds.
